Danelec Marine and its distributor Telemar Norway are supplying DM100 Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) for 20 new vessels being built by VARD.
The VDRs are being installed by VARD on 20 new module carrier vessels under construction at VARD’s shipyards in Romania and Vietnam. The vessels are specially developed by VARD Design to navigate the shallow river systems as they transport modules through the Russian waterways to oilfields in Kazakhstan.
Introduced in 2014, Danelec Marine’s DM100 VDR complies with all the latest IMO and IEC performance standards, and incorporates Danelec’s exclusive SoftWare Advanced Protection (SWAP) technology for serviceability and lowest life-cycle costs of ownership. The product also has extensive built-in layers of cyber security to protect against intentional hacking or inadvertent malware insertion.
