OSI Maritime Systems’ Warship IBS Earns DNV GL Type Approval
OSI Maritime Systems’ Integrated Navigation & Tactical System (INTS), an integrated bridge system (IBS) designed for warships, has received Marine Equipment Directive (MED) Type Approval certification from DNV GL as an Integrated Navigation System (INS).
OSI’s INTS meets industry standards: MSC.252(83) and IEC 61924-2 for INS, as well as MSC.302(87) for Bridge Alert Management. The certification of INTS follows OSI’s recent Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) certification against new IHO & IEC standards.
In addition, OSI has launched a new fully type approved radar solution combining OSI’s Radar Human Machine Interface (HMI) software with a number of industry leading radar antennas.
