Intellian, a provider of stabilized marine satellite antenna systems, has opened a second R&D center in Seoul’s Technology Valley, in conjunction with the relocation of its administrative office from Gangnam.

The location selected is not only strategically closer to the company’s recently expanded Innovation Center but also at the heart of Korea’s Panygo Techno Valley. Pangyo Techno Valley is at the leading-edge of the high-tech industry combining future-oriented technologies within a global R&D innovation cluster, Intellian said.

Eric Sung, Intellian CEO, commented, “It is time for the next chapter in Intellian’s growth strategy. Bringing together functions like marketing and sales alongside our R&D teams will add an important synergy to the business. The move to Panygo will also see Intellian positioned as part of this dynamic, world-class R&D cluster with the ability to take advantage of the superior infrastructure, manpower training and networking opportunities that are available.” Sung continued, “Expansion so far, is at almost 400 percent of that of the previous Gangnam office, and we still have immediate plans to recruit a further 30 plus engineers. The new location will further support our efforts in attracting the world-class R&D and support staff that we need to grow the business. The Pangyo Techno Valley will provide Intellian with the best environment to optimize its technological competitiveness as we look to the future.”

The opening of the second R&D center is the latest investment in innovation for the company that invests 10 percent of its revenue in R&D activities and has 30 percent of its workforce involved in product development.
